Hey Dina, I am honored to be your “Al-Halabiah News Network” :)
And for Anonymous, Merci beaucoup for your compliment, I am really flattered…
No I haven’t written any materials or essays, and the career that I have chosen is far away from journalism or reporting. However, I might give it a shot someday… In the meantime, if you wanna see my work, keep checking this blog often, and don’t forget to leave your comments.

I'm not actually all that excited about the new pope. I've heard some of his views and he seems to be much more backwards then the rest of the candidates. I was hoping for a more modern Pope, one who would take the church forward.. anyhow that was my two cents

Hey Omar, actually I wasn’t surprised that a conservative Pope has been elected. After 9/11, conservatives have started to gain more and more ground in the western world (The reelection of George W. Bush, the new immigration laws in Europe, and even in Canada the Conservatives’ Party is now set to win the next elections).
Whether this Pope will take the church backward or forward is remained to be seen, and as one priest said yesterday: “this church is 2000 years old, so it won’t hurt to wait a couple of months to see this guy’s actions before we judge him”.
Ghalia, thank you for making Aleppo Post your source for the latest news and Information :)

I agree with you Rami, the world is going to the more conservative side. About Canada, the only reasons the conservatives are expected to win is because of some scandal with the liberal party. Most Canadians are Liberals, especially when you combine the Liberal party supporters with the NDP suporters...
