Mosque and Church

Al-tawheed Mosque and St. George Basilica in Aleppo

This one is for Roba.
It is a similar view to the one you have just posted (I have a better one here).
I guess we are all very lucky to be born in this part of the world…

Beautiful... What i love most about the countries of the Levant is that there is genuine acceptance for the different religions. I love this picture.. Thanks a lot Rami.

Thanks for the blog. I am from Aleppo but I live in France right now, and I don't have get a chance to go back often. I really miss the city and its people.

The photos are really nice, do you have some more? Do you also have photos of "modern Aleppo"? All around we only see photos of the historic sites, but it would be nice to photos of the new part of the city (mouhafza, shahba jedideh, azizieh, etc) . This is nice for our own memories (as expats) and also to show friends over here. Please let me know where I can get these.

Great job on the blog khayo..keep it up!!

Salut Nicholas,

Glad you liked my blog…

Sadly, the “modern Aleppo” is nothing but a bunch of ugly concrete blocks, cold and soulless…

There are few beautiful villas in the new quarters such Shahaba, Shahba Jadideh and Muhafaza, and I will try to post some pictures of them here…

I just made a post about Villa Rose in Azizieh, and I will try to make others in the future.

I don’t know any website that has photos of modern buildings in Aleppo.
Sorry!
